If you haven’t heard of the Dubai Chocolate Bar, you’re in for a treat! The viral sensation features a rich milk chocolate shell that’s filled with a decadent blend of pistachio cream and kataifi (a traditional middle eastern pastry made from shredded phyllo dough). The result? A delightful contrast of textures: the snap of the chocolate exterior, a velvety pistachio center and the delicate flakiness of the pastry.
The best part? You don’t have to travel all the way to Dubai to enjoy this indulgent candy bar. Our version of this crave-worthy confection is made with Oobli chocolate, which delivers all the sweetness you crave without the sugar spikes. This visually stunning, satisfyingly crunchy bar brings together sweetness, nuttiness and just the right amount of wow.
Ingredients:
-
1 Oobli Chocoate Bar (Sweet & Salty or Cocoa Dreams)
-
1 tsp olive or coconut oil
-
3oz Pistachio Cream + more for drizzling
-
1 tbsp butter
-
1oz shredded Kataifi Fillo Dough
-
½ tbsp tahini
-
Chocolate bar mold
Directions:
-
Break the Oobli chocolate bar into small pieces and place in a bowl with the olive or coconut oil.
-
Microwave in 30 second intervals, mixing in between, until fully melted.
-
Drizzle some pistachio cream onto the chocolate bar mold (if the consistency is too thick, place in the microwave for 30 seconds). Then lightly coat the mold with a layer of the melted Oobli chocolate. Set in the fridge.
-
Melt the butter in a pan on medium/low heat. Once melted, add the Kataifi dough. Toast in the pan for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Make sure to mix frequently to prevent burning.
-
Remove the pan from the heat and add the pistachio cream and tahini. Mix well.
-
Grab the chocolate bar mold from the fridge and add the pistachio/Kaitafi mixture. Top with more melted Oobli chocolate and place back into the fridge to set, then enjoy!
